I just haven't felt like writing them.

Jon's on his winter break from bus driving for two weeks. The feeling of childhood returns to me with him having this job, as the feelings of excitement grew to uncontrollable levels as the days neared to the start of his break. Having him home all the time is wonderful and I love that we can wake up together each day and just own the whole day with no interruptions. Best of all, he's getting paid for all of this! I suppose being a bus driver has one over being a kid, yeah? The break has only just started and already we've been enjoying our days to their fullest potential. We started it off with a bang by having a nice Christmas get together with friends (which I'll post about later) and today we enjoyed a relaxing, four hour nap with our infant. Holy crap, those naps are the greatest... All in all, I can tell that we're just going to take this break easy and have a hell of a good time together.

Juliet is growing at a steady rate, but we can tell she's going to be on the smaller side and quite a delicate, dainty little girl. We never expected a person of her size to come from the both of us, so it's kind of cool to see how unique she is already. She's been grinning and laughing nonstop, loving her toys, and continually bonding with us with the greatest amount of love I've ever seen come from a person. She really impresses the both of us with how fast she learns and develops.

Christmas is almost here. I'm still really slacking on buying gifts. I guess I really don't feel that interested in buying ungrateful people gifts. I'm starting to think about telling my family we no longer want to do a gift exchange with them because I don't want to incorporate stress, obligation, and greediness into Juliet's life as she gets older. Seriously, why do some people insist on playing games with the holidays? You have to be so and so at least ___ gifts. You have to spend at least ___ much money, but always spend more or you'll look cheap. You always have to buy them exactly what is on their list or else your present sucks. It's not the thought that counts! It's the amount that counts!

We started taking Juliet on long drives, one of our favorite past times. She absolutely loves car rides just like us, so we've been finding fun in adventuring to new towns and exploring new areas. If all goes well, we'll have to prepare for a great road trip soon enough. The west coast or New Orleans come to mind... I have no desire to see the south AT ALL, but I would like to go to New Orleans... I guess Jon could have fun taking me around that area and I'd have fun enjoying the tasty food!

Our parents have been fighting over the "better grandma and grandpa" title as of lately. It's comical, but annoying at the same time.

I've appointed several people from our friend groups to hold family titles when it comes to the little one. She's going to have better relatives in our friends than our own family and this makes me confident in her upbringing aside from what we can do.

We're thinking about another annual New Glarus trip! I am really itching to go!

And we're waiting for an epic New Year's party to happen at Jason's in the upcoming days. I'm really excited about that. It will be the first party he's ever had over there.

Aside from all of that, Sycamore has mirrored Alaska again with the coldness and snow, baffling all who come here. We haven't been snowed in yet, but I'm sure it will happen in no time.

Don't you just hate when nosy family members join the internet world? You never know what's safe to write about anymore without causing drama... So because of that, I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this thing and likely distributing entries in a more watchful manner. Friends only seemed a little too extreme I guess. From now on it's only semi-friends only.
